Hair bow tutorial
Ho, ho, ho, Christmas party season is coming! Whether you’ve got office drinks or Christmas dinner with friends planned, we’ve got you covered with this cute-as-a-button hair bow. Dress it up or down, the choice is yours. Just get ready for a queue to form at the mistletoe!
Our favourite festive helper, Miss Alex, is here to have your hair wrapped as beautifully as the presents under the tree in no time. Or even better if your present-wrapping usually involves a frantic last-minute panic like ours does!
Trust us, all you want for Christmas is this hair bow...
You’ll need
-
Your hair extensions (get them on your list to Santa if you don’t have some already. We know you’ve been a good girl this year, right?)
-
A sectioning comb
-
Some hair grips
-
A hair elastic
-
Your curling wand
STEP 1 - Apply your extensions
Next, create a centre parting by tracing a line up from the tip of your nose with your comb.
Then take a large section of hair on one side of you head, making sure you take some of your extensions with it. Twist up that section and grip it at the back of your head for now.
STEP 3 - And another
To create your hair bow, take out your hair grips and start to tie those two side sections into a ponytail. Wrap your hair elastic around the hair two times, then on the third time only pull the hair halfway through the elastic. This should create a loop of hair that will become your bow.
STEP 5 - Divide your looped hair
To complete your bow, take that leftover strand of hair from your ponytail and wrap it in between the two loops to create the knot of the bow.
STEP 7 - Curl your ends
To finish off the look, grab your curling wand and curl the ends of your loose hair. To do this, just wrap sections of hair behind the wand, hold for a few seconds and release. Easy peasy.
And there you have it girls - a merry little Christmas look, just for you.
